Japanese auto parts manufacture is seeking a Project Manager.

JOB PURPOSE:
Assist in managing designated programs having significant business impact. Responsible for planning, administering and completing assigned programs which cross several functional areas such as design and engineering, manufacturing operations, sales, and/or supplier and plant quality control functions Supports Purchasing Management with defining specifications and quoting material, process and other service providers with specific characteristic appropriate for use for the company;s business requirements. Investigates, researches, analyzes orders, develops program management reports and provides management updates of issues and milestone status and completion. Collaborates to proactively address potential or actual resolutions of program issues that may or are impeding the company's program launch.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in managing program timing, Development of Program and consistent communications of all critical dates with customer, supplier, engineering and design staffs, purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing plants and sales.
- Assist in implementation of budget, timing and coordiantion of program objectives to cross-functional project teams.
- Maintain customer contacts for coordination and management reviews of product quality assurance plans, meetings, quotations, coordination of manufacturing reviews and technical support.
- Work with tooling and component suppliers for PPAP submissions.
- Provide timely feedback of program status to upper management,
- Responsible to effectively communicate the status of the program internally and with customers.
- Coordinate with engineering and purchasing in evaluation of suppliers on new product launches to meet all program targets (cost, quality, timing and deliverable)
- Performs other related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing industry
- Well organized with the ability to multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skill in English
- Business level proficiency in MS Office
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing related
- Business travel of 20% (Up to 25%)
