Japanese machine tool (grinder) maker seeks a service engineer.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Service is responsible for providing repair, maintenance and support of the company's products and machines at various customer locations and at our facility.
Service Technicians are also responsible for monitoring service calls, maintaining the appropriate reports and documentation required for each service call, suggesting modifications of the company's equipment, instructing customer personnel in the operation of the company's equipment, in addition to providing training and support to other Service Technicians.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:
•Provide on-call technical phone support and field response to equipment and customer issues
•Perform any preventative maintenance as requested by the customer to ensure optimum operation and a minimum down time of machines and equipment
•Perform emergency service at the customer’s locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of the company's equipment
•Provide required service documentation relating to all functions performed
•Provide technical support and training for the end user relating to the operation of our equipment
•Provide support and training to other Service Technicians in the department
•Gain new service customers by reaching out to other companies and providing technical information on the company's services
•Set-up and perform in house demonstrations and tests
•Set-up and attend trade shows
•Other duties as assigned by upper management

Hours:
8:30AM~5:00PM

Requirements:
•Recent graduate is welcomed
•Education(A.A., courses, certifications) in Mechanical or Electrical engineer or related experience

Location: Schaumburg, IL
Salary: $60K (DOE, Exempt)
