Summary:
This position is responsible for managing many aspects of accounting-related duties for the Company and for making recommendations to Senior management.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation.
• Manage incoming and outgoing cash effectively on a daily basis and perform monthly bank reconciliation activity through verification of accounts regarding cash at hand and cash at bank.
• Develop strategies to optimize cash position of the company.
• Assist with compilation of information for preparation of various tax return include but not limited to Corporate tax, Sales tax and Form-1099.
• Involve in budget making process and prepare annual budget draft.
• Collaborate with external auditors and internal auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Responsible for hierarchy and scalability in chart of accounts and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements and has authority over classification and booking of all transactions.
• Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and establishes the proper techniques to improve efficiency in operation and to discover and prevent fraud.
• Review and oversee subordinates include but not limited to accounts payable team and accounts receivable team.
• Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
• Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
Qualifications/Requirement:
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of Accounting management experience
• 3+ years of Financial Reporting and Analysis experience
• 2+ years of Finance Accounting experience in consumer packaged goods strongly preferred
• Exceptional mathematical skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility for his/her duties is required.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP is desired.
• Ability to gather, analyze and interpret facts surrounding deals, raise questions, and exercise sound judgment.
• Intermediate to advance excel skills (knowledge of VLOOK-UP, PIVOT, SUMIF, IFERROR, DSUM)
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 highly preferred; ERP implementation experience a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Detail oriented, analytical, driven to deliver results under tight deadlines; Fast learner and experience in high paced work environment.
• Strong ability to work well with all levels of staff to resolve problems and contribute to solutions.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to talk and/or hear regularly. Must to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms frequently. The staff member may occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects of at least 20 pounds.
• Ability to read and analyze written information on a computer terminal.
• Must have vision abilities such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
• Ability to work in environment with moderate noise level.
