Global manufacturer seeks a Japanese/English Bilingual Production Scheduler.

SUMMARY:
Develops daily production schedules based on weekly and monthly projections from Business Planning
in conjunction with the 4 Week Rolling Plan. Schedules delivery and orders parts and supplies as
needed for production schedule through the contact with Purchasing. Maintains a balanced work load of
mold changes, machine count, and samples on a daily basis.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Attend daily Production meetings on shop floor.
Meet with Supervisors, PE’s, LOM Team, and Line Leads to organize and prioritize daily task and
objectives at shift meetings.
Maintain daily and weekly added value according to macro plan given by Business Planning.
Monitor molded and purchased parts inventory using system reports. Recommends
materials to be disposed of.
Monitor production efficiencies, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Check “On Order List” for product shortage. Meet with Business Planning daily to discuss the “On
Order List”
Check production result to track production progress.
Create Daily Schedule based on the Monthly Plan which is created using the 4 Week Rolling Plan
as the blueprint. Maintain the Monthly plan at least 4 weeks out and release the daily schedule
before lunch each day.
Order necessary materials (boxes, pallets, labels, and pigments).
Tries to maximize usage of automation fixtures as well as electric injection machines.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree a must, preferably in Business management or Engineering field.
Two to 3 years previous experience as a Scheduler in a manufacturing atmosphere.
Previous responsibilities should have included budgeting, scheduling, and inventory control.
Skill in:
English and Japanese language, both orally and in writing
Use of computer hardware: keyboard, mouse, monitor, hardrive
Use of computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
