Japanese manufacturing company (Auto Tier-1 Supplier) is seeking a Quality Coordinator.
STRATEGIC SUMMARY
For an assigned area develop, assumes a stronger role in the implementation and management of quality assurance systems designed to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. Provide leadership and support to associates assuring company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved. Provide leadership and support to assigned associates to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, and cost) and increase associate skills and capabilities. Responsibilities also include interviewing, hiring & training of associates, assigning and directing work: appraising performance and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
TACTICAL SUMMARY
• Responsible for directing and supervising assigned associates involved in inspection and quality assurance procedures with regard to purchased material, in-process material and finished products to assure quality assurance standards are met.
• Lead assigned associates, provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives.
• Monitor overall plant product quality by conducting and evaluating various product tests and checks.
• Follow established step down verification guidelines.
• Collect & analyze relevant data and data methodologies.
• Lead internal process quality trouble investigation.
• Issue Trouble reports according to established criteria as well as initiate proper response activity.
• Assure recommended quality assurance testing and checks are in place and completed.
• Oversee sorting activities.
• Oversee established gauge confirmation program and schedules.
• Transfer learning across teams and business.
• Promote quality at the source utilizing available resources, operators, & operating standards.
• Review daily “On Hold” parts and make quality judgments according to drawing standards.
• Track and report scrap Top 10 manufacturing concerns on a daily, monthly and yearly basis.
• Assure change point control policies and procedures are maintained and followed.
• Initiate personnel actions: interviews, promotions, discipline, terminations, etc.
• Lead/Support Improvement Theme Activity.
• Provides leadership and support to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, and cost) and increase your associates skills and capabilities.
• All other duties as assigned.
