A Manufacturing company seeks an Accounting Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1, Responsible for managing all financial and tax functions. Assists in treasury management. Oversees Accounting Dept. personnel in their daily operations; supports and develops staff; oversees monthly closing process; supervises development of department procedures and policies; resolves department problems/needs; chairs department meetings; reviews transactions; primary
check signer.
2, Leads staff in preparation of all financial and tax reporting, including reporting requirements from HQ(Japan). Assists with the development of internal and external reporting requirements. Reviews all financial reports.
3, Coordinates monthly financial meeting with directors and the related reporting. Coordinates company department budget process, and directs quarterly budget versus actual analysis.
4, Coordinates and leads annual budget process and supports preparation of all
Handles all local, state and federal tax issues, including maintaining a permanent income tax file by year. Coordinates activities for mid-year and year-end financial and tax audits, and supports HQ(Japan) audit.
5, Coordinates company physical inventory process, including reconciliation.
Supports the review of inventory level & accuracy. Develops and supports company cost reduction efforts & budgetary controls; Lean philosophy and methodologies – continual improvement in all areas; enhancement of reports
with I/S; and departmental efficiency improvements (i.e. reduce 90-Day aging).
6, Supports in the coordination with other departments and other Our Group companies to improve efficiency of our operation. Includes support evaluation of future company strategies, new market entry/exit costs, new products and business ventures, and other major financial decisions (i.e. USMCA, maquiladora).
7, Performs duties and responsibilities specific to department functions/activities (i.e. record retention); or required or assigned by supervisor (i.e. HIJ special requests, QMS)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & 5-7 years of Accounting Management experience, CPA or CMA preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) power user
Working knowledge of ERP (MS Great Plains preferred but not required)
Knowledge of all accounting cycles (AR, AP, GL, Inventory costing)
In-depth knowledge of US GAAP. Understanding of financial audit process and requirements
Knowledge of all facets of sales and use tax compliance issues
