SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities of the Human Resources/Accounting Administrator position include, but are not limited to, the administration of HR policies and programs for all company divisions with emphasis on benefits, ensuring that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Maintain employee records and confidential information in accordance with current regulations and corporate policies.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning benefits and employment, including COBRA compliance and Federal/State poster compliance.
• Prepares bi-weekly payroll.
• Maintains Weekly Activity Report/Field Service Report Spreadsheets.
• Assist with maintaining and developing corporate policies and procedures.
• Administer employee benefit programs, including: medical/dental/vision/prescription, short-term disability, long-term disability, leaves of absence, HSA, 401K etc. This includes monitoring additions and deletions to the plans.
• Conducts open enrollments, distribution of benefit materials, and providing communication of plan changes to employees.
• Assist in the recruitment activities: writing and placing ads, screening resumes, forwarding resumes to hiring managers, telephone screening of candidates, scheduling and/or conducting interviews, and evaluating candidates for various positions, work with recruiters/vocational schools/other resources to source candidates.
• Assist in the hiring activities: applications, offer letters, background checks, and new hire packages.
• Prepares the necessary information for departing employees.
• Act as liaison between employees and benefit providers to aid in the resolution of issues.
• Assist in the conducting and collection of performance evaluations.
• Administer Workers’ Compensation program. This includes but is not limited to: handling accident reports, liaison with W/C carrier, maintaining W/C files, maintaining OSHA logs, posting 300A reports, etc.
• Prepares reports related to EEO compliance or other HR functions.
• Reviews employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance of corporate policies.
• Updates and maintains company organizational charts.
• Assist in the collection and entry of Accounts Payable data as needed.
• Assist with Accounting Audits
• Cross train for Accounts Receivable, other accounting related projects as needed.
• Minimal travel may be necessary to perform these duties.
• Perform other duties as requested.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other related degree, and at least three years experience in a Human Resources position, preferably as a Generalist or Specialist. Must have excellent prioritization skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to multi-task. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or other similar computer software is strongly preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: English language ability. Excellent oral and written communications skills required, including the ability to conduct presentations and training in HR related topics.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Excellent interpersonal skills are required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Good mathematical ability.

REASONING ABILITY: Excellent analytical ability and strong capability to make sound decisions. Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: PHR or related certification preferred.
