Title: Director of Engineering

Salary: $120-$140k
Start: Immediately (negotiable)

Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of Engineers, Designers, & Technicians as they improve product designs and manufacturing processes in our business
• Provide strong leadership by taking responsibility for the performance of the department, including timely completion of projects, and providing guidance in design decisions made by the engineering staff.
• Review new designs and recommend modifications to minimize cost, ensure quality, safety, and conform to production capabilities and limitations. Recommend design modifications to permit the most favorable manufacturing methods.
• Critique manufacturing processes for cost effectiveness, productivity, quality, safety, and feasibility
• Oversee investigation, justification, and purchase of manufacturing/automation equipment
• Develop and improve engineering practices and policies necessary for the growth of our business
• Provide technical engineering support for design and manufacturing issues.
• Provide timely response and resolution to safety, quality, and production issues.

Qualifications/Requirement:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of Engineering experience with 3+ years of Management experience
• At least 5 years of machinery experience
• Automation Implementation experience
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Analytical and technical skills in both technical and business areas
• Functional understanding of cost accounting.
• Quick learning ability for new tools and systems.
• Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.
