A Japanese precision maker is seeking a IT Coordinator in Elk Grove Village IL!

Responsible for directing the accounting function for the company recording all accounting entries, and performing a variety of administrative duties. Reports to Accounting Manager and exempt position.


Summary:
The Information Technology Coordinator is responsible for learning and performing tasks to monitor internal/external EDI information, along with Network maintenance and troubleshooting hardware and software malfunctions.



Qualifications:

* High school education plus a two-year college degree in information system, or similar area.

* 1 - 3 years experience in one or more of the following areas: production planning, scheduling, coordination with a basic knowledge of production/inventory control procedures and information systems. Possess good math skills and basic familiarity with production control.

* Any other equivalent combination of training and experience.


Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Create mid-term and annual budget (plan) for information system in office and production area according to customer requests (EDI), production data base improvement and make countermeasure or proposal plan.

2. Create and control maintenance plan with cost consciousness to prevent system down time, full capacity of old system and concentrate on renewal.

3. Monitor and maintain network hardware, operating systems, communication protocols, home page and software applications.


Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

4. Troubleshoot and resolve network, hardware and software malfunctions utilizing diagnostic equipment. Contact outsources if needed to solve problems and make history records.

5. Contact resources for necessary equipment such as cameras, telephones and copiers with cost consciousness.

6. Make training plan and instruct system users on procedure for utilizing system applications and network resources. Document and report network operations as appropriate.

7. Work with and assist all departments to get accurate data input for current operating systems. Work with Production control and Engineering to ensure inventory input and output is correct.

8. Coordinate and maintain systematic physical inventory procedure to get accurate quantities.

9. Install and maintain firewall and cyber security systems to protect the data of the company. Create proper backup procedures to ensure data safety.

10. Participate in special projects and assignments as requested. Participate in tasks as instructed.

Salary: $55K-$60K(DOE)
Hours: 8am to 4:30pm
Reports to: Information Technology Manager
