Japanese International Asset management company in NYC is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial professional to join our
new credit investment team in New York. As part of a growing operation, managing $5 billion in
fixed-income portfolios, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development

As a Junior Credit Analyst, you will play a vital role in conducting comprehensive credit
assessments, supporting the team’s investment strategies, and collaborating with global
colleagues, including frequent communication with our Tokyo headquarters. This role requires
strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to excel in a fast-paced and
evolving environment.
>>>Key Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed credit research and analysis across various sectors to evaluate financial
health, creditworthiness, and risk profiles.
• Provide actionable credit assessments that align with the team’s investment strategies and
objectives.
• Support the startup of the credit investment team by contributing to the development of
processes, frameworks, and best practices.
• Prepare and present clear, concise, and well-supported credit opinions to portfolio managers
and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and analysts to identify, evaluate, and implement
profitable investment opportunities.
• Conduct in-depth asset valuation, relative value analysis, and market research to support
fixed-income strategies.
• Communicate frequently with the Tokyo headquarters to ensure alignment and effective
collaboration across global teams.
>>>Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA and/or CFA
designation strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, fixed-income investing, or related fields, with
exposure to both buy-side and sell-side environments welcomed.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to contribute to the startup of a new team and
adapt to evolving priorities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially advanced Excel), Bloomberg, and other financial
research platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to decision-
makers.
• A collaborative team player with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
effectively.
• Experience working in a global organization and coordinating with teams across different
time zones is a plus.
