The US subsidiary of a Japanese manufacturer of high performance lubricating grease required a position of an Inside Sales Specialist Team Lead. The company is the leading manufacturer in Japan for high end products as well as providing high quality control.

The Inside Sales Specialist Team Lead works closely with Operations and Sales personnel to ensure customer orders are processed and fulfilled in a timely manner to meet forecasted requirements. Typical responsibilities include communicating with customers via email and phone calls. Coordination of customer forecast and order requirements involves communication with toll manufacturers and third-party warehouses. Order management responsibilities include accurate data entry and reporting. The Team Lead is responsible for coordinating efforts amongst Specialists to ensure support and coverage for all designated customer accounts. The Team Lead works closely with the COO to manage and mitigate risks to maintain 100% on-time delivery of customer orders and satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities:

Essential Functions
1 Manage Inside Sales personnel to achieve defined responsibilities and outcomes.
2. Prioritize customer engagement to provide timely communication and support.
3. Accurately enter orders into the business operating system
4 Send order acknowledgements to customers
5. Send shipment instructions to warehouses
6. Review order fulfillment status
7. Check product availability and supply
8. Provide tracking information to customers
9. Forecast import and domestic production for customer orders
10. Answer phone calls and emails
11. Assist with preparation of sample shipments.
12. Accurate use and reports of the inventory management system

Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelors degree or equivalent.
2. Experience in supply chain or purchasing management.
3. Knowledge and experience in working with MS Office. (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
4. Detail orientated
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 6. Good teamwork with external and internal members.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position that can be based out of either the sales office or manufacturing plant.
Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, typically 8:30 am to 5:30 p.m.
Travel Periodic travel to local warehouses is required and occasional trips to visit with customers and manufacturing facilities
