SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
・Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
・Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts.
・Reconciles general ledger accounts monthly, review and resolve outstanding issues.
・Process Accounts Payable and reconciles vendor accounts.
・Manages vendor relations to resolve disputes and issues.
・Maintain PO log & monitor non-compliant invoices.
・Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
・As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
・Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
・Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries.
・Cash receipt processing and customer account reconciliation.
・Assist with Deloitte Audit for documentation.
・Assist with J-Sox audit for documentation.
・Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close.
・Maintains Concur software for employee expenses and approval process.
・Complies with the company's policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
・Associate degree in accounting is a must. Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.
・Three to five years of accounting experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites. Must have knowledge of MS Excel. Basic accounting software: SAGE 100 is preferred.
