This position is designed as a critical source/creator/producer of translated news articles to be published in Asian Review and other English-language publications or news content distribution services of the group companies.

Company America Inc., a subsidiary of the company, is seeking a News Translator to join its company Asia team in the U.S.
This position plays a key role in sourcing, creating, and producing translated news articles for publication in company Asia and other English-language platforms or content distribution services operated by company group companies.


Translate articles, headlines, and captions published by the company and other company group companies for company Asia
Proofread, edit, and revise translated articles to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with editorial standards
Conduct research, verification, and fact-checking to enhance the quality and reliability of translations
Perform other editorial tasks related to company Asia as assigned by the supervisor

Requires a minimum of two in-office workdays per week; the remaining days may be worked remotely

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a related field


Proficiency in Japanese and English
Experience in Japanese-to-English translation in a fast-paced newsroom environment preferred
Strong skills in research, verification, and fact-checking to enhance the quality of news translations
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively both remotely and on-site as part of a team
