Summary :
We are a U.S.-based real estate development and investment firm backed by one of Japan’s leading general construction groups. Operating with a lean and agile team, we pursue development and value-add investment opportunities across the United States.
In this role, you will serve as the President’s strategic partner, supporting a wide range of responsibilities—from strategy formulation and execution to internal and external coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management & Investment Execution
●Analyze and assess investment projects sourced by the President from a legal and risk perspective
●Review and support negotiations for JV agreements, purchase and sale contracts, LOIs, and other legal documents
●Collaborate with the Finance Manager to validate business plans and financial models
●Manage the full due diligence process, including legal, tax, accounting, and architectural aspects

2. Internal & External Coordination and Approval Processes
●Explain and coordinate investment structures and contract terms with relevant departments (Accounting, Administration, Technical, etc.)
●Prepare approval documents and investment reports for the Japan headquarters and lead the internal approval process
●Serve as the point of contact for partner companies and external stakeholders

3. Strategic Development & Networking
●Research and screen new investment opportunities
●Analyze market trends and provide strategic proposals and insights
●Build and maintain relationships with developers, local partners, brokers, and other key players

4. Department Operations & Future Team Building
●Establish operational policies and workflows for the Business Development Division
●Promote cross-functional collaboration and multitasking within a small, agile organization
●Prepare for future team expansion, including staff development and management responsibilities

Qualifications:
●Business-level proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) and business-level proficiency in English (spoken and written)
●Experience in real estate development or investment-related work in the U.S.
●Hands-on experience reviewing contracts such as JV agreements, development contracts, and purchase & sale agreements
●Solid understanding of financial models and ability to validate assumptions
●Strong coordination skills, flexibility, and ability to drive projects forward with internal and external stakeholders
●Ability to work hands-on in a small, agile organization
●Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship not available)

Preferred Qualifications:
●Experience communicating with Japan headquarters and handling internal approval processes
●Broad understanding of the full development cycle, including entitlements, construction, and project/asset management (PM/AM)
