JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Technical Engineer – Mechanical is responsible for generating mechanical drawings in 2D and 3D in support of our machine system designs. The Engineer is expected to build systems from our standard machine line and responsible for equipment selection, on-site installation, start-up, and testing.

• Carries out assigned projects (scheduling, arrangements, construction, trial-run) as planned.
• Holds communications meetings as appropriate, conducts technical confirmations, and coordinates to ensure that the project proceeds as planned. Ensures progress is maintained; consults with their managers if the assigned project is likely to fall behind schedule, and takes steps to ensure that everything is completed as planned.
• Creates a schedule for assigned business improvement tasks (standardization, etc.) and proceed as planned while checking progress. • Performs technical sales to the existing customers, by recommending solution products and improvements to current systems.
• Analyzes the customer’s machinery & systems and troubleshoots accordingly.
• Understands the needs of customers and communicates them to the sales department
• Provides technical support to the sales team and support to equipment model selection/application.
• Performing Ho-Ren-So, assists sales in proceeding to the right direction, conducting. technical confirmations.
• Understands the safety compliance procedures established when performing work, and. implements them without delay, and presents necessary reports.
• Provides guidance and manages contractors, when using contractors for construction work, etc. (SV work)
• Designs machine “systems” by using our standard machines to build them into functional
automated “systems” based on customer’s requirements. Uses Auto-CAD to construct a flow diagram of the system.
• Performs calculations to size systems, machinery, and equipment correctly
• Has knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (hardware requirements) of standard products.
• Understands the requirements for mechanical allowable stress calculations.
• Judges whether calculation results such as deflection are acceptable.
• Performs mechanical troubleshooting. (Example: Jet Loader not functional: may be caused by filter clogging, pipe clogging, valve failure, and/or sensor failure)
• Provides technical support to sales.
• Considers customization from a mechanical perspective according to customer needs.
• Possess basic electrical knowledge.
• Provides mechanical support for production.
• Provides technical support to field service.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical engineering or Mechatronics engineering from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum of two years related experience.
• General office equipment including phones, fax, copier, personal computer, printer, scanner, etc.
• Software includes the use of Windows operating system, MS Outlook, MS Office and MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point; PDF Creator; AutoCAD & Solidworks
• Meters-including electrical test meter, temperature meter, moisture analyzer, air speed meter
• Industrial tools including the use of tape measure, wrenches, pallet jack, drilling equipment, soldering iron, and basically any type of hand or power tool • Driver’s License.
