Detail: A Japanese Trading Company is seeking a Inside Sales Specialist
Job duties and responsibilities
• Inspect incoming and outgoing products for quality and quantity
• Repackage inspected items according to Japan-bound shipping standards
• Prepare inspection reports and verify product documentation (e.g., Certificates of Conformance)
• Handle export licenses and ensure compliance with U.S. trade regulations
• Coordinate with manufacturers on packaging and shipping requirements
• Oversee logistics from order to shipment, including returns (RMAs)
• Communicate with Japanese customers about delivery timelines and issues
• Work with shipping companies to meet export requirements
• Understand purchase orders and invoicing systems
• Share updates with internal teams to avoid workflow disruptions
• Use databases and online tools to get quotes from manufacturers
• Document pricing and delivery times using Excel and Word
• Submit quote forms to Japan
• Confirm product details with manufacturers (e.g., part numbers, NSNs)
• Organize emails and product documentation
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
• Support other tasks as assigned by management
