Position Title: Project Manager – Supply Chain Promotion Team
Location: Nevada (On-site)
Position Summary
A confidential global industrial solutions company is seeking a Project Manager to lead a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Promotion Team supporting large-scale manufacturing operations in the U.S. This role requires specialized knowledge in sourcing, procurement, and product development for highly customized industrial components. The Project Manager will oversee sales promotion initiatives, procurement workflows, catalog/database development, and inventory strategies, while managing a team of procurement support staff.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development
Conduct market research and determine suitable products for adoption.
Develop and optimize product offerings to meet customer-specific requirements.
Supplier Development
Identify, evaluate, and supervise suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing.
Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
Catalog & Web System Development
Oversee creation of customer-specific digital catalogues and web-based procurement platforms.
Manage database entries, site design, and ongoing system administration.
Sales Promotion & Business Development
Plan and execute promotional activities for new and existing products.
Monitor performance metrics and deliver results-driven campaigns.
Stock Planning & Inventory Strategy
Analyze stock requirements and establish effective inventory planning methods.
Implement strategies for local stock availability and efficient distribution.
Team & Project Management
Supervise and mentor a team of procurement support staff.
Oversee project progress, resource allocation, and training for team members.
Manage project financial performance, including Profit & Loss accountability.
SCM Service Model Development
Research and analyze market demand to develop new service models.
Drive initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and optimize supply chain solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or industrial product development.
Strong expertise in supplier development, catalog/database systems, and inventory planning.
Proven leadership experience in managing teams and overseeing project performance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills; bilingual Japanese/English preferred but not required.
Ability to manage multiple projects with P&L responsibility.
