Position Summary

As Senior Coordinator & Sales Licensing position, you will play a vital role in driving sales growth and securing licensing deals with external partners. Reporting to Associate Director of Sales & Licensing on a daily basis. Head of Content Distribution and Strategic Partnerships, internal teams and external partners to implement strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Your responsibilities will include managing a network of regional agents, merchandise licensees, broadcasters, and digital partners across multiple territories, as well as contributing to the development and execution of a robust licensing strategy.

Primary Functions:

Help create brand’s sales strategy and achieve milestones to deliver results based on set objectives and targets.
Facilitate internal and external communication regarding sales updates.
Contribute to the growth of brand licensing activities by identifying opportunities and improving internal discussions as well as external information.
Monitor tasks and workflows, including internal approvals, sales revenues, forecasts and contract compliance. File and track agreements, invoices, royalty reports and results
Negotiate licensing agreements from the deal memo stage through finalization of license agreements with the assistance of Associate Director and the Legal counsel. This includes obtaining all internal approvals.
Update sales materials to reflect recent brand developments on a regular basis.
Develop and distribute brand marketing materials and pitch decks to prospective partners.
Identify areas of improvement and implement changes for more effective processes.
Travel to key partner locations and industry trade shows to provide adequate brand support to agents and licensees and to maintain strong relationships.
Utilize consumer insights and worldwide industry trends to identify opportunities for business growth.
Collaborate internal teams to manage product development and approvals from initial concept to market to ensure timely on-shelf dates.
Propose and execute new projects to drive additional revenue streams.

Other Job Functions:

Identify and resolve issues, escalating as necessary to management.
Contribute to administrative tasks and comply with company policies and procedures.
Seek continuous improvement in work processes and maintain high ethical standard.
Report irregularities to supervisors for resolution.
Strengthen industry knowledge in animation, content production, toy, and licensing industries.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in licensing, preferably in entertainment industry with consumer products licensing experience.
Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in financial analysis and project management.
Knowledge of the media, retail and product licensing landscape.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a multicultural environment.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Japanese language skills and/or experience in dealing with Japanese culture preferred, but not required.
