Detail: Japanese IT company seeks a Project Leader (PMO).
As a key member of the Project Management Office, the PMO member will support project governance, support strategic decision-making, and act as a trusted advisor to IT and business leadership, including close coordination with the company's Japan HQ and other global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Track the progress of IT projects and update project documentation regularly (e.g., status reports, schedules, dashboards).
• Assist in identifying risks, issues, and delays, and support the team in taking corrective actions as needed.
• Support project compliance with internal standards, templates, and processes.
• Help organize training sessions and workshops on project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Support knowledge-sharing initiatives, such as maintaining project documentation, wikis, and templates.
• Coordinate with internal and external trainers or consultants to schedule training activities.
• Assist in maintaining and updating project management templates, tools, and guidelines.
• Support the consistent use of project management tool (e.g., Internal standard tool, Jira, MS Project).
• Facilitate communication among project teams and PMO by preparing reports and meeting notes.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, and follow-up tasks to ensure smooth collaboration.
• Communicate with international stakeholders, including this company's Japan HQ, to support updates, feedback, and documentation.
• Help maintain the PMO’s central repository of lessons learned, project templates, and best practices.
• Support content creation for internal knowledge bases, newsletters, and PMO announcements.
Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong communication skills with users and team members, as well as the ability to collaborate with team members, and the ability to work well with a team as well as an individual.
• Skills as a good team-player, great communication skills, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, negotiation skills,, not afraid of confrontation.•
• ITIL Knowledge: Understanding of ITIL frameworks for IT service and delivery excellence.
• Familiarity with organizational change management practices.
• Well understanding of project management approaches.
• Strong understanding of SDLC.
• Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English, including written and verbal communication is absolutely required for this position.
Experience
• 5+ years of experience in project coordination, project support, or PMO-related roles in an IT environment.
Certifications
• PMP, Certified Scrum Master certification, or equivalent

Our core business hours are 9 - 5:30 with one hour unpaid lunch in between. Actual working hours may be slightly different, depending business needs.
This position require in-person office attendance 2 days per week. (No Exceptions)
