Detail: Position Title: Associate Operations Manager
Location: Dallas, TX
Reports to: General Manager / President
FLSA Status: Exempt
This position supports the General Manager in coordinating vessel operations between the USA and global destinations, ensuring accurate and safe departures/arrivals while contributing to customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions
• Monitor vessel movement & update schedule
• Assist GM in coordinating with agents & stevedores
• Attend port operations
• Coordinate with agents, customers
• Safety, quality & damage prevention
• Cargo canvasing & booking control
• Freight collection, billing
• Customer service & claims
• Quotations & rate negotiation
• AMS input/output
• Check port disbursement accounts
• Assist GM in communications with agents and reviewing contracts
• C-TPAT maintenance
• Documentation compliance
• Submit business trip reports

• Develop service knowledge & support process improvement
• Participate in special projects as assigned
• Comply with policies, ethics
• Travel as required (car, plane, ship, train)
• Assist in welcoming and escorting visitors

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 1–2 years of related experience (logistics, shipping, shipping agents, or operations) also acceptable
• No direct supervisory responsibilities (potential for future growth)
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently (domestic)
