Company Overview: A consulting company specializing in the food industry, established with the mission of delivering Japanese food culture to the world. Through M&A, business succession, and revitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in sectors such as restaurants, meat processing, seafood processing, and bento production, the company aims to drive industry integration and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
●Develop and execute financial strategies for the U.S. subsidiary and affiliated group companies
●Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, and monthly/annual financial closing (US GAAP and Japanese consolidated standards)
●Liaise with banks, investors, auditors, and tax professionals
●Support financial due diligence (DD) and post-merger integration (PMI) for overseas M&A and store investment projects
●Report financial performance to the Japan headquarters and external investors
●In the future, lead the development of a global finance team as CFO of international operations
Qualifications:
●Candidates must possess a CPA, MBA, or a combination of Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Finance or Accounting (Required)
●Deep understanding of both U.S. and Japanese accounting, tax, and financial practices (US GAAP / Japanese standards)
●Experience in cross-border M&A or turnaround finance is highly valued.
●Fluency in both English and Japanese, with the ability to read and write in Japanese required
●Proven track record in establishing finance functions within startups or mid-sized companies
●Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting and finance at a senior or managerial level
●Experience working at a CPA firm or consulting firm is a strong plus
