Detail: Japanese electronics manufacture seeks an IT System Administrator.

JOB SUMMARY

The IT Systems Administrator plays a pivotal role in delivering secure, reliable, and high-performing IT services to our global workforce. This hands-on role blends end-user support, infrastructure administration, security operations, and site ownership, ensuring operational excellence across multiple IT domains. You will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, act as the primary on-site IT owner, and drive continuous improvement using Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and best-in-class tools.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

IT Service Delivery & Support
• Deliver efficient, high-quality IT services aligned with business needs and SLAs
• Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction through proactive support and clear communication
• Provide Smart Hands support: hardware installs, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance
• Provide technical assistance to staff, troubleshoot issues, and train employees on IT and security best practices.

Facilities Oversight
• Serve as the primary IT point of contact for the physical offices
• Assume full ownership of all site-specific IT operations, assets, and performance
• Coordinate with our Group IT teams to ensure seamless site integration and uptime

Cloud & Endpoint Administration
• Administer Office 365 suite (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
• Manage Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Security Center, and Purview
• Deploy and manage Windows devices via Microsoft Autopilot
• Administer Jamf Pro for iOS fleet management, security, and compliance
• Support and optimize iOS and Windows environments for engineering productivity

Security Operations & Incident Response
• Oversee cybersecurity measures including firewalls, intrusion detection, endpoint protection, and patch management.
• Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) alerts using SIEM and Microsoft Defender
• Perform Tier 1 / Tier 2 incident response: investigate, contain, mitigate, and document security events
• Administer and monitor access control systems, CCTV, alarm systems, and badge management.
• Protect sensitive IP, design data, and semiconductor R&D assets

System & Infrastructure Administration
• Maintain servers, networks, storage, and critical applications
• Ensure high availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness
• Support engineering tools, EDA software environments, and design workflows

Enterprise Application Management
• Maintain secure internal websites and intranet platforms using modern web technologies
• Manage and maintain 3rd-party applications, ensuring stability, updates, and integration with core systems
• Manage enterprise applications with scalable architecture, multilingual UI support, and secure access controls

IT Service Management (ITSM) & Governance
• Implement and manage ITSM processes (incident, problem, change, request) using tools like Zendesk
• Apply ITIL v4 best practices to streamline service delivery and maturity
• Track KPIs, generate reports, and drive service improvement plans (SIPs)

Documentation & Continuous Improvement
• Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures
• Identify automation opportunities, process gaps, and efficiency gains
• Champion adoption of industry best practices and emerging technologies


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills
• Microsoft 365 Administration: Intune, Entra ID, Autopilot, Security Center, Purview
• Mobile Device Management (MDM): Jamf Pro administration support
• Operating Systems: Deep expertise in Windows 11 and iOS
• Security Tools: SIEM, EDR (Defender), incident response workflows
• Networking Basics: TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting
• ITSM Platforms: Zendesk, ServiceNow, Jira, or similar
• Web & Application Development:
o Proficiency in Pleasanter customization, REST APIs, and workflow automation
o Secure internal web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript, .NET, or similar)
o 3rd-party application integration and lifecycle management
o Scalable, multilingual enterprise app architecture
• Scripting/Automation (preferred): PowerShell, Bash, Python, or JAMF API


Certifications (preferred)
• Microsoft: MD-102, AZ-104
• CompTIA: Security+ (SY0-701), CySA+ (CS0-003)
• Apple: Jamf Certified Admin or Jamf Certified Expert
• ITIL 4 Foundation

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) or semiconductor metrology workflows
• Familiarity with zero-trust security models and IP protection
• Background in regulated environments (SOX, NIST, ISO 27001)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) or configuration management
• Hands-on experience with Pleasanter
• Proven ability to deliver multilingual, user-friendly internal tools for global team

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5+ years in IT systems administration with a focus on end-user support, security, and cloud/endpoint management
• Hands-on experience in semiconductor, hardware design, or field service-heavy environments (preferred)
• Proven track record in site-level IT ownership and cross-team collaboration
