Duties and Responsibilities:
• Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales opportunities.
• Communicates with customers and potential customers to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and promotes products and services to meet those needs.
• Communicates with sales manager to set prices and sales margins.
• Communicates with sales manager to set credit terms for each customer.
• Develops a thorough knowledge of products.
• Explains the quality and uses of products to customers based on their needs.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
• Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products that may be of interest.
• Monitors accounts receivable and collects payments from customers as needed.
• Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Delivers products to customers as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
