Detail: Japanese logistics company is seeking Logistics Coordinator in Torrance, CA!
Perform standard operations related to Ocean/Air/Domestic Shipping, both Import/Export/Domestic, select
appropriate modes of transportation, selecting qualified vendors to arrange all shipments with reliable
service and profit as the common goal.
Summary/Objective
• Under the direction and supervision of the Logistics Supervisor the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of assigned accounts by processing import and export shipments and all related activities for the assigned base of accounts. Assist with duties related to document preparation and traffic coordination required to correctly process goods through customs and arrange timely delivery, including billing.
Essential Functions
• Receive, review, generate, or process Import related documentation such as ISF's, BL's, Commercial Invoices, Arrival Notices, ATME's, entry summaries, etc.
• Ensure that all documents are complete and conform to corporate policies and Import/ Export regulations.
• Create documents such delivery orders, arrival notices, truck BL's, etc.
• Track all shipments and communicate with clients and vendors about the shipment's status and progress.
• Ensure to book with truckers to meet customer's requested delivery dates.
• Ensure that cargo pick-ups and deliveries are on schedule.
• Generate billing invoices and packets.
• Sending billing packets to customers and overseas offices in timely manner.
• Obtain necessary information and documents for ISF and CF7512 filings.
• File ISF and CF7512 in timely manner and precisely, Follow up until the responsibility complete
• Arrange export shipments including pick ups, book space ocean carriers and air freight carriers Obtain necessary export documents, Generate BLs or HAWBs. File AES based on SLI, confirm on-board or FOB and send pre-alert to related parties and follow up until shipments' departure and truck shipments on its way to destination.
• Store Air Export documents in accordance to TSA/IAC regulation
• Obtain cost from carriers, truckers, customs brokers and create quotations for submission to agents, sales team and customers.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers and group affiliates.
• Organize and store shipment records and billing packets in appropriate folders and files.
• Provide logistic support to other ATUS branch offices as necessary.
• Create reports requested by customers and/or manager as necessary.
• Investigate and resolve issues with management related to incoming/ outgoing freight such as Overages, Shortages, and Damages (OS&D) and creating preliminary and formal claims when necessary.
• Participate in meetings when requested by management.
• Perform for special projects, other duties including visiting clients when instructed by management.
• Participate in ISO 9001 activities
Qualifications:

Education: High Scheel Diploma
Required Experience: Over 5 years of experience of working as an Import I Export Agent/ Coordinator
