・米国の労働法、税制、年金、保険に関する基礎知識

A Japanese media company based in the U.S. is seeking a Japanese-English bilingual professional for an administrative position.
Mission & Objectives
Gradually assume responsibility for accounting, payroll, HR, labor, and tax-related administrative functions within the first year
Lead the restructuring and optimization of back-office operations, including system improvements (e.g., QuickBooks optimization, paperless workflows)
Establish and maintain an operational structure that allows executive leadership to focus solely on fund transfers, approvals, and final decision-making
Ensure sustainable and compliant back-office operations in a small, multi-location organization
Key Responsibilities
Accounting operations, including bookkeeping, payments, and monthly/year-end processes
Payroll administration, HR operations, and labor compliance
Coordination with external vendors such as accountants, payroll providers, and benefits administrators
Tax-related administrative support and compliance coordination
Communication and reporting to the Japan headquarters and coordination with U.S.-based vendors
Continuous improvement of administrative workflows, processes, and internal controls
Required Qualifications (MUST)
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in accounting, HR, and labor administration in the U.S. (New York State preferred)
Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English (for reporting to headquarters in Japan and negotiating with U.S. vendors)
Experience using U.S.-based accounting software, particularly QuickBooks
Basic working knowledge of U.S. labor laws, taxation, retirement plans, and insurance systems
Preferred Qualifications (PREFERRED)
U.S. Certified Public Accountant (USCPA) credential
Experience independently managing administrative functions at a U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese company
Prior experience in the media industry

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: USD 60,000 – 100,000 (commensurate with experience; negotiable)
