Business Development Specialist (Electronic Components Materials)

Position Summary
This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities globally within the electronic components materials market. The position focuses on global specification-in activities, particularly for consumer electronics applications such as mobile devices and computers. Responsibilities include supporting U.S.-based consumer electronics business, exploring new customers and markets worldwide, evaluating market potential, and developing business plans aligned with the company’s core competencies. The role also supports projects through internal evaluation and development processes.

Key Responsibilities
* Analyze the electronic components materials market to identify new business opportunities, evaluate economic feasibility and risks, and develop strategies to drive sustainable growth.
* Proactively engage new customers by introducing existing products and assessing opportunities for new products, applications, and technologies.
* Work closely with existing customers to promote current solutions and identify potential for expanded or new applications.
* Act as a liaison between customers, local teams, and overseas R&D and technical teams to coordinate product development and meet application requirements.
* Communicate customer and application needs internally and collaborate cross-functionally to support product development and commercialization.
* Lead internal discussions to assess business opportunities, ensuring alignment with the organization’s core strengths and capabilities.
* Develop and finalize business plans and execution strategies, gaining internal alignment and stakeholder buy-in.
* Monitor industry, market, and technology trends, as well as competitor activities, to provide insights and strategic direction.
* Report regularly to senior management on market findings, project status, and business activities using structured reporting tools.
* Support additional projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications
**Education & Experience**
* Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the electronics or related manufacturing industry.
* Experience in international business and working with global teams is strongly preferred.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
