Location: Phoenix, AZ (On-site - 2-4 days onsite- as needed)
Job Summary:
This is a high-stakes, "founding" leadership position critical to anchoring our Phoenix location expansion and managing the relationship with TSMC. The Site Lead will serve as the primary local face for the TSMC account, expertly bridging high-level executive diplomacy with deep technical execution. This role is responsible for establishing and managing a growing team that specializes in the mission-critical hardware—specifically Turbomolecular Pumps
Key Responsibilities
• Executive Account Ownership: Act as the local "fixer" for TSMC Section Heads and Department Managers. Handle all aspects of the account, from high-level negotiations and personnel issues to transactional daily hurdles.
• Strategic Insight Gathering: Facilitate informal settings and maintain constant communication to gain deep intelligence on client needs, organizational shifts, and cultural nuances within TSMC.
• Technical Authority: Serve as the subject matter expert for Turbomolecular Pumps (TMPs). Oversee on-site installation, advanced mechanical repair, Failure Analysis (FA), and coordination of the "pit crew box" approach for complex semiconductor tools at the Fab Arizona facility.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of field service engineers and technicians, instilling strong business acumen and accountability.
• Commercial & Contract Management: Manage the full commercial relationship, including negotiating and coordinating complex repairs and service agreements.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Educational Rigor: An Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Semiconductor) is strongly preferred.
• Technical Background: Must possess hands-on, senior field service experience with etch companies or Tier-1 OEMs like Applied Materials or Lam Research, with deep expertise in TMPs and associated semiconductor equipment. A history of transitioning from a senior engineer to an account management/leadership role is ideal.
• Trilingual Diplomacy: Fluency in English and Mandarin/Taiwanese is essential for establishing account depth and navigating the client culture. Japanese proficiency is a major advantage for vendor-side coordination with our team.
