This is an on-site position. Candidates need to commute to the Cerritos office on a daily basis.

Background:
The company was acquired three years ago by a major Japan-based metals service group. the organization is now fully integrated under its new parent company. With this transition, the business is entering a new growth phase, aiming to leverage the strengths and resources of its parent organization while evolving beyond its traditional aluminum and stainless distribution model.

Position Summary:
The Director of Sales and Marketing will lead the company’s sales organization and drive both near-term revenue growth and long-term business expansion. This role oversees a team consisting of Inside Sales (3) and Outside Sales (2) representatives, while also taking ownership of digital marketing initiatives, including e-commerce strategy and web-based marketing activities.
In addition to managing the existing metals distribution business, the Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership to identify, evaluate, and shape future growth opportunities. The role will also contribute to broader Business Development initiatives in partnership with the company’s U.S.-based parent organization.


Key Responsibilities:
●Develop and execute short-term and long-term sales and business growth strategies
●Lead, coach, and manage Inside Sales (3) and Outside Sales (2) teams
●Expand existing customer accounts and cultivate new customers, markets, and sales channels
●Plan and drive digital marketing initiatives, including e-commerce strategy and web-based marketing
●Establish, refine, and monitor sales processes, KPIs, and CRM utilization
●Develop pricing strategies and initiatives to enhance profitability
●Collaborate closely with executive leadership on strategic planning and execution
●Support broader Business Development activities for the U.S.-based parent organization, including evaluation of new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances
●Willingness to travel frequently within the US and occasionally to international destinations.
●Additional responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:
●Bachelor’s degree required
●at least 7+ years of B2B experience in metals, materials, manufacturing, or industrial products industries
●Proven experience leading, transforming, or scaling a sales organization
●Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business or growth strategies
●Basic knowledge of, or hands-on experience with, digital marketing and/or e-commerce
●Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
●Strong Japanese (N1 level) and English communication skills, both verbal and written.
●Willingness to travel frequently within the US and infrequent travel internationally.
●Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license with a good driving record
●Must be able to commute to the office and work full‑time as required by the company
●Must be authorized to work in the United States
