Role Description
Company is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist with a background in automotive interior
decoration and/or plastic injection molding to support our growing automotive business.
This highly technical role serves as a key liaison between customers, manufacturing
facilities, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the successful development, launch, and
ongoing support of automotive interior components and decorative solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day technical operations,
providing technical support to customers and internal stakeholders, troubleshooting
manufacturing and product-related issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The role requires knowledge of automotive interior trim applications, decorative film
technologies, plastic injection molding processes, and automotive quality standards.
Preferred but not a final decision factor, your knowledge of plastics molding in any other area
will also be considered.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, quality, sales, program management, and
manufacturing teams to deliver innovative and reliable solutions while ensuring customer
satisfaction and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry with a focus on interior trim,
decorative components, or in the plastic injection molding segment.
Technical knowledge of automotive interior decoration technologies, including decorative
films, laminates, IMD/IML, or related surface-finishing processes. Or a plastics injection
background.
Hands-on experience with plastic injection molding processes, tooling, materials, process
optimization, and troubleshooting.
Proven ability to provide technical support and resolve manufacturing, quality, and customer-
related issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and
implement corrective actions.
Knowledge of automotive quality systems and standards, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA,
SPC, and IATF 16949.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively across
global, cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced
environment.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Basic knowledge of CAD software.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft windows.
Note:
This is a highly technical position. Direct experience in automotive interior decoration and plastic
injection molding is strongly preferred, but not necessary.
Compensation
Salary range: USD 90,000 – 100,000 (maximum)
