A Japanese company is looking for a SAP System Integration Lead (chemical manufacturing company)
Project Overview:
The project is a U.S. rollout of an SAP S/4HANA template developed by the Japanese headquarters of a chemical manufacturing company. ABeam is not the implementation vendor in this case.
Currently, the requirements definition phase is in progress and will continue through April 2025, followed by design and development phases.
The role in question will focus on defining system interface requirements between SAP and various local systems.
This position involves frequent communication with SAP implementation vendors, client-side IT teams, and local system partners.
There are over 40 interfaces, so the candidate will need to work closely with stakeholders to determine the integration approach and coordinate testing phases including unit and integration testing (development is handled by a separate team).
Required Skills:
Experience in SAP implementations involving system integrations with local/non-SAP systems
Broad business process understanding, with core expertise in at least one or two modules (e.g., FICO, with foundational knowledge of SD/MM/PP)
Strong communication skills and a proactive workstyle (i.e., able to drive tasks forward independently rather than waiting for direction)

Onsite presence is required approximately 50% of the time each month.
