About the Role
We are seeking a Japanese-English bilingual IT Project Manager to support client-facing projects and ongoing system operations. This role combines project management, user support coordination, and continuous process improvement in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
You will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution, system support, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Support
* Manage IT projects, including planning, documentation, and execution
* Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external vendors
* Track project progress and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget
* Provide user support and manage support desk activities (incident tracking, escalation, resolution)
* Maintain accurate project documentation and system records
Operations & Continuous Improvement
* Monitor ongoing support cases and proactively resolve issues
* Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve processes
* Maintain and update project tracking tools (e.g., backlog systems, SharePoint)
* Execute assigned tasks including documentation, system support, and coordination
Analysis & Reporting
* Track and analyze project performance vs. forecasts
* Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders and management
* Identify risks and propose actionable solutions
* Drive improvements based on data and operational insights
Team & Stakeholder Management
* Lead and support team members to achieve project goals
* Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
* Ensure clear communication among all stakeholders
* Support team collaboration and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
Required
* Native-level Japanese and business-level English
* 3+ years of IT Project Management experience
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience in client-facing environments
Preferred
* Work experience in Japan
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)
* Experience in IT support / help desk environments
