Industry: Logistics

Location: Carson, CA

Salary: 90-110K

Visa Sponsor: No

Language: English: Business Level, Japanese: Conversation Level

Detail: Role Overview
The Sr. Operations Executive & Sr. IT Manager is the strategic lead for the company’s digital landscape and operational workflows. Acting as a Bilingual Product Owner, this role bridges the gap between operational needs and technical execution. You will define the logic for custom applications, lead client-facing system integrations (EDI/API), provide technical expertise to Quality Control (QC) initiatives, and spearhead the company’s Digital Transformation (DX) roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
1. Solutions Design & Vendor Management (Product Ownership)
• Functional Requirements: Analyze operational "pain points" and translate them into technical specifications for third-party IT vendors.
• Basic Design & Logic Flow: Create the conceptual design for in-house applications, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with Extensiv (WMS – Warehouse Management System), CargoWise (Global Forwarding System) and Syrinx (NVOCC System).
• Project Management & UAT: Manage the development lifecycle of custom tools, including timeline management and rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure software meets business needs before deployment.
2. Client Technical Liaison & EDI Implementation
• Systems Onboarding: Lead the technical implementation for new clients, including EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) mapping and API (Application Program Interface) connectivity between client ERPs and our logistics systems.
• Operational Improvement: Partner with existing clients to identify opportunities for system-driven efficiency, such as adopting new data requirements or optimizing existing workflows.
3. Automation & Technical QC Support
• RPA Orchestration: Lead the rollout of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) to automate manual data transfers between custom applications, spreadsheets, and core logistics platforms.
• QC Technical Consultant: Provide technical leadership within the company’s Quality Control program. This involves auditing system logic to prevent errors and using data tools to identify technical root causes for operational issues.
4. Digital Transformation (DX) & Process Digitization
• Workflow Automation: Lead the transition from manual/paper-based processes to digital platforms. This includes digitizing Purchase Order (PO) management, business travel requests, and expense reimbursements.
• Low-Code Solution Management: Evaluate and implement "Low-Code" platforms to build internal business apps that streamline administrative and warehouse office tasks.
• Paperless Initiatives: Identify and eliminate manual bottlenecks across the organization to improve data visibility and reporting speed.
