SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Quality inspection of incoming materials and outgoing finished products along with the inspection of in-process parts. Taking a lead to find a cause and solution for defective products and PSI (Pre-shipment inspection) preparation and process.
Also, lead and improve ISO procedure in the company with COO and head of engineering. The person in charge have to be responsible for all QC/QA related work that are described as follows.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform regular quality assessments on incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping according to documented quality and inspection standards.
Reject all products and materials that fail to meet standards and fill out reject tags.
Document inspection results by organizing inspection reports and records that the internal final inspection dept. filled out.
Prepare PSI (Pre Shipment Inspection) including documentations and lead whole PSI process. Take care an external inspector until whole PSI process is done. PSI prep documents have to be done by specific timing prior to the PSI and send to an inspector for their prep work.
Manage the company ISO certification process including internal audit, internal training/seminar, and scheduling Audit date with the external auditor and working with cowokers to improve the company ISO related tasks.
Communicate with customers’ quality department or procuremenet department for resolving non-comformance products and rejection report.
Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and evaluate the final product to the specifications.
Recommend improvements to the production and inspection processes to ensure quality and cost control and work with the production team to schedule a training plan to enhance the productivity and reduce risks in the production process.
Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
Follow all company polices and safety polices
Lead to compile FAI (First Article Inspection) package for any new projects.
Watch scrap and QC hold products condition and trend daily, and work closely with Production and Engineering to solve issues.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the COO. Coordinates activities with all departments; works closely with Production, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Administration.
EDUCATIONAL OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification required. A college degree is preferred.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 14001.
Must be able to read blueprints.
Must have good math skills (e.g., convert dimensions between metric and English).
Sufficient PC skills to compile reports and make new data and documents.
