Company Overview
A well-established Japanese global manufacturer specializing in precision industrial components and motion-control technologies is seeking a Bilingual Japanese/English IT Associate to support its U.S. operations.
The company serves a broad range of industrial and manufacturing customers and operates multiple locations throughout the United States. This position will play an important role in connecting the U.S. organization with the IT team at the company's headquarters in Japan.
Position Summary
The Bilingual IT Associate will serve as a primary technical liaison between the company's headquarters IT team in Japan and employees and management in the United States.
This position will support and administer key business applications, including ERP/SAP, CRM, Microsoft 365, and other corporate IT systems, while assisting with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, user access, system integration, and compliance requirements.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting technical and business-system issues, coordinating with users and management, and communicating technical requirements effectively in both Japanese and English.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for ERP, CRM, and other business applications.
Support daily operations and troubleshoot ERP and related business-system issues.
Coordinate with U.S. business users and the headquarters IT team in Japan to resolve system issues and requests.
Monitor business applications and support stable system operations.
Coordinate application improvements, upgrades, and implementation of new functionality with the headquarters IT team.
Manage or coordinate IT projects involving business-process improvement, system integration, and data interfaces.
Support system testing, implementation, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization.
Document system changes, technical issues, resolutions, and procedures.
Serve as a communication bridge between business departments and IT.
Gather and analyze business requirements related to ERP, CRM, and other applications and communicate those requirements to the headquarters IT team.
Coordinate system issues, enhancement requests, and project requirements between U.S. departments and Japan headquarters.
Track and communicate the status of IT requests and projects.
Maintain system security and support user-access management.
Ensure alignment with corporate IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and global technology requirements.
Support compliance with internal and external IT audit requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve business processes through ERP, CRM, automation, digitalization, data integration, and reporting.
Provide training and technical guidance to employees regarding ERP and other business applications.
Support general IT infrastructure and end-user technology as needed.
Travel occasionally based on business and project requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
5+ years of professional IT experience.
Experience supporting ERP systems and business applications; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of ERP, CRM, and related corporate business applications.
Experience with system integration, data interfaces, application support, testing, and implementation.
Working knowledge of general IT infrastructure and end-user support.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365.
Understanding of cybersecurity, data integrity, user-access management, and IT compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently and serve as a key IT contact for business applications.
Experience working within a corporate or sales organization is preferred.
Strong problem-solving, project coordination, and relationship-management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, vendors, and technical teams.
Fluent Japanese and English required, including speaking, reading, and writing.
Valid U.S. driver's license for business travel as required.
Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position. Remote work is not available.

Standard working hours are approximately 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional work outside normal business hours and business travel may be required.
