Detail: Japanese auto parts manufacture is seeking a Sales Coordinator.
JOB PURPOSE:
Supports Sales Management with tracking, investigating & reporting sales information; assists in the resolution of issues that impede Howa USA’s business development and coordinates marketing and promotional activities for product commodities as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Researches and analyzes sales and cost data to support Request for Quotes (RFQ’s).
- Updates and tracks the Annual Price Reduction (APR) data including efficiency gains and/or reasons for price increases.
- Prepares monthly and other internal sales performance reports for General Management.
- Assists in the preparation of sales presentations by compiling data; developing presentation formats and materials; attends customer meetings, as possible, to develop knowledge-base of company products and sales strategies.
- Coordinates trade show events and other promotional activities; travels to and participates in marketing exhibits when necessary.
- Conducts direct customer marketing activities for assigned product commodity; collaborates with sales management to identify sales opportunities and for guidance and direction in sales strategies; cultivates current and potential customer relations.
- Investigates current and historical data for problem resolution in such matters as order and inventory discrepancies or other issues that impede sales or customer relations;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to perform data entries and develop reports.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Basic understanding of Request for Quote (RFQ), customer order and tracking processes.
- Excellent written, verbal and organization skills with the ability to pay strict attention to detail.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
- Associate degree in business or marketing required; Bachelors’ degree in business or marketing preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work performed in an office setting; customer offices and manufacturing visits.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities.
- Customer support and business requirements to include auto and air travel.
- Lifting of component parts up to 25 lbs. on occasion with associate assistance, as required.
