Detail: Japanese major machine tool maker seeks Field Service Engineers.
Position Summary:
The Service Engineer reports to the Regional Service Manager and is responsible for traveling to customer and dealer facilities to install and service machinery.
【Responsibilities】
60%
・Install, service and perform basic training on all company machinery. Need to troubleshoot both electronic and mechanical problems that can occur on site by using proper basic testing equipment (i.e. multimeter or oscilloscope). Travel by car or airplane to both customer and dealer facilities.
30%
・On-site intake of customer complaints regarding equipment malfunction and service issues and communication with customer and internal management regarding the technical analysis and determination.

・Document all work done in a legible and technically sound manner.
・Submit both service and expense reports for reimbursement.
・Operate a variety of office equipment such as personal computer, printer, copier, fax and work with Microsoft Office as needed.
【Qualifications】
・Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience is required.
・Working knowledge of CAD / CAM system, materials, tooling, and end mills preferred.
・Being able to read schematics along with the use of test equipment such as multimeter or oscilloscope is required.
・Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain integrity and ethics in all conversations and actions with customers.
・Self-motivated, able to work with little or no supervision and to calmly handle stressful situations when customers complain of equipment malfunctions.
・Possess technical curiosity and ability to diagnose and solve production issues.
・Detail-oriented and able to get work completed in a manufacturing environment.
