Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on CFO to oversee financial and accounting operations for a manufacturing company specializing in custom machinery and cutting tools. The position will supervise a small accounting team and work closely with management and the parent company in Japan.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting and financial operations.
Supervise and support a team of 2–3 accounting staff.
Manage monthly and annual financial reporting.
Prepare financial reports and analysis for the parent company in Japan.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial performance.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
Provide financial guidance to local management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA preferred.
Strong accounting and financial management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience supervising accounting staff.
Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost accounting.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience working with Japanese-owned companies is a plus.
Work Location
Candidates must be able to commute to the Harrison, Michigan facility approximately 2–3 days per week, as required.
