Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced English/Japanese bilingual Branch Manager to lead our Torrance, California office. This role is responsible for overall branch management, team leadership, and coordination with headquarters in Japan. The ideal candidate is a Japanese-native or near-native speaker with proven management experience in the packaging films and/or packaging machinery industry.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the Torrance branch, ensuring efficient and effective office management
Drive branch performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Serve as the primary liaison between the U.S. branch and headquarters in Japan
Prepare business reports, performance updates, and presentations for headquarters in Japanese
Support sales activities and key customer relationships when necessary
Ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulations
Conduct limited business travel (approximately once per month)
Qualifications
Native-level or fluent Japanese and business-level English (required)
Experience with packaging films and/or packaging machinery (required)
Minimum 3–5 years of management or leadership experience
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a bilingual, cross-cultural business environment
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to manage both people and operations
