Position Summary
We are seeking a Financial & Administrative Analyst to support both finance and administrative functions within a small, collaborative R&D organization. This role will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and operational coordination, while working closely with internal teams, headquarters in Japan, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Responsibilities
* Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes
* Prepare financial reports, including variance analysis (budget vs. actual)
* Manage accounting and treasury processes using ERP systems (SAP preferred)
* Track R&D project progress and internal company transactions
* Collaborate with outsourced vendors and internal departments
* Assist with compliance reporting and financial data analysis
Administrative Responsibilities
* Support daily administrative operations (scheduling, documentation, reporting, etc.)
* Coordinate communication between U.S. office and headquarters in Japan
* Maintain company records, policies, and internal documentation
* Assist with meeting coordination, presentations, and internal projects
* Provide general office and team support as needed
Operations Support
* Communicate with external service providers and vendors (in English)
* Support internal coordination within a small team environment
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 3+ years of experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred; other systems may be considered)
* Native-level Japanese and business-level English required
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and/or Google Workspace
* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
* Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
* Experience working with vendors or outsourced partners is a plus
