■Position Summary
A financial services firm is seeking an Equity Research Analyst focused on the Technology / Semiconductor sector. This position is part of a long-term succession plan for a senior analyst and offers the opportunity to gradually take over coverage of core semiconductor names and develop strong relationships with public companies, institutional investors, and industry professionals.
The role involves equity research, financial analysis, industry research, corporate access support, and communication with institutional clients. Candidates with experience in equity research, investment-related functions, technology industry finance/IR, or semiconductor-related business are encouraged to apply.
■Responsibilities
Conduct equity research and analysis on technology and semiconductor companies
Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and industry research materials
Support earnings analysis, sector updates, and investment reports
Participate in meetings and communications with public company management teams
Assist with corporate access activities including investor meetings, conferences, and group calls
Develop and maintain relationships with industry contacts and institutional investors
Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and semiconductor industry developments
Gradually assume coverage responsibilities for core sector companies over time
Collaborate with senior analysts and internal stakeholders on research projects
■Qualifications
Preferred Backgrounds
Equity research experience covering Technology or Semiconductor sectors
Investment banking, asset management, or institutional research experience
Corporate IR, strategic finance, FP&A, or finance-related experience within the technology industry
Semiconductor industry knowledge or related technical understanding
Candidates interested in long-term career development within equity research
■Skills & Requirements
Strong analytical and communication skills
Interest in technology and semiconductor industries
Ability to build relationships with corporate management teams and investors
Financial modeling and valuation skills preferred
FINRA licenses and/or CFA progress is a plus
Business-level English required
Japanese language skills are a plus but not required
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus

Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.

Junior Analyst: Base salary + bonus structure
Senior-level candidates considered depending on experience and market conditions
